My husband and I have annual park pass vouchers that have not been activated yet. I was able to make us a park reservation for Epcot on 3/26 because of this. We have decided not to activate the annual passes yet since we are just doing 1 park day and want to just purchase a 1 day ticket. I went on-line and it shows no ticket availability due to the parks being booked already. Since I already have a park reservation, will they sell me a ticket at the window?

I think your problem will be that your reservation is in the wrong "bucket." If you reserved using your annual pass then you are drawing from the AP bucket. A one day ticket draws from a different bucket. If you reserved based on being at a Disney Hotel, then you should be OK.

Of course, a sympathetic CM is the best route to success.

Oh, I should add that we are at the Dolphin if that makes any difference.

I suggest you call and politely explain your case, hopefully they will accommodate. I don't believe there would be any issue with the theme park reservation bucket because it doesn't appear to be tied directly to the ticket (contrary to what the reservation system states). Good luck!

@tlmadden73 also asked about this recently, tagging him here in case he's had success.

Thank you! I checked out that thread and asked if he'd called. I'll wait to see what happens. If it's going to be a huge hassle we'll just skip it this trip and find something else to do :(

@lurkernj, have you tried calling Disney? Each situation is unique. As @lanejudy mentioned, I would recommend you call Disney yourself and explain. Can't hurt to ask.
No. I was just checking if anyone had experience with this hoping it wasn't going to be a big deal (tlmadden-who has the exact same situation- replied to me on another thread and apparently it is a big deal). We are staying at the Dolphin, so we'll walk over to Epcot, if they won't sell us tickets, we'll take our money and stay at the pool or head over to Seaworld. I'm not planning to call as I don't have the time/patience to sit on hold, especially since the information I receive from someone on the phone may not hold true when I arrive.

That is the correct solution & I believe you are right on both counts.

Sometimes it is amazing how they can turn away straight up profit.

1) There's a pandemic, with restrictions and capacities they've correspondingly instituted
2) OP made a decision, then changed her mind. It would be nice if Disney could accommodate, but it's not their fault.
3) Minimum-wage employees don't make these rules. Please don't be mean to those who will tell you no.

1. Perhaps you misunderstood my post, I'm not asking them to increase their capacity, I already have a park reservation, changing the way I pay to get into the park doesn't change that.
2. correct, that's why I was asking the question, though it is their fault that their systems are inflexible, but not surprising
3. Not sure why you thought I'd give someone a hard time, where is that in my post? I plan to see if they will sell me a ticket, and if not, I will go elsewhere.
