Can I do this? DME and car rentel

Ok, I have everything set up w/ dme but we need to rent a car for one or 2 days. It is way cheaper to this at the airport than any place on property. Can I rent a car for the day that I arrive and return it at the airport the next day and take the DME buss to the resort for the 1st time and return on it on my departure day? Thanks!

I am in Disney now and actually found it cheaper to rent on property. Had a car from Alamo yesterday for $23 total...intermediate car. Go to www.pricelessvacations.com and clock on there alamo car specials tab. Book thru here and the discounts are deep. Have never been asked for anything at check in and have used this site for my last 5 rentals. Shuttle will pick you up and drop you off at resort.

I checked out alamo and priceless vacation like you said in your message. But i cant seem to find a car for less than 40.00 a day? Which place on site did u rent it from and return it too. i tried the car car center and the hotel but they are both between 44-45 a day. Which i thought was high. I'm travelin the end of oct.

No, it's not possible. You can call Disney to confirm, but according to CM's I know you MUST travel "with" your luggage. I put "with" in quotes because they will actually travel on a seperate bus and may not arrive until after you do, but Disney doesn't allow one and not the other.
