All of my 2013 points are used. My 2014 points are all available.

I am staying at VGF in December, my home resort. I was thinking about tacking on one additional night at the end (which is available). I know I can borrow from next year, but I am not sure that I want to, cause I gots plans for them points!

Can I buy 1 time points for that one night? I am inside the 7 month window, but I do not know how they are handling it since its a new resort.

What is the price for one time points from disney?

Since VGF are using a 4 month window you should not be able to buy 1 time use points until then. You would have to call but you can't use them during home resort priority. They cost $15 each.

The OP said that VGF is their home resort, so the 4 month window does not apply to them. Only the 7 month window for One-Time-Use points would apply, which they are within.

Even if those 1 time use points are from another resort?

(Just asking, I don't know)
If I bought 25 VGF points would I be able to use my other 200 points there at the 7mo window in 2013?

I thought you couldn't buy one time use points during home resort priority regardless if your home resort

1 time use points are bought from Disney and don't belong to any resort. They will only sell it to you at the 7 month window and ONLY if you run out of current UY points.

If you "own" 25 VGF points and 200 points from another resort. You can use 225 points to book at 7 months. But you can only use 25 points during the home resort priority window.

The challenge with VGF is for 2013, the usual 7 month window is only 4 months. So really, only MS can answer whether or not 1x use points for December 2013 reservation can be bought now (7 months) or if the member will have to wait until August (4 months). I would think it's the latter. If the OP really wanted to book now and not compete with the rest at 4 months, he should borrow instead and use the 1x use points next time when the 7/4 is back to 11/7 for VGF.

Normally, you can buy one time use points at 7 months when all points are "equal" in terms of reservation.

Right now, the only points that can book December are VGF with the special 4 month rule, so I would assume that those points are not available for use in reservations, even if you are a VGF owner. It's the points that have the priority right now, not the specific owner.

I guess I will have to ask MS, because of the special nature (4 month booking, etc)

I do not know if I will even do it, was just kicking the idea of staying another night around in my head.

Owners at VGF booking with VGF points are not restricted to a 4 month widow.

From DVCMember.com:
Members who own at The Villas at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa may begin using their Home Resort vacation points to book stays at the Resort for check-in dates as far as 11 months out, as normal.

However, when reservations open to other Members beginning June 23, 2013, reservations with check-in dates ranging from October 23, 2013 through December 31, 2013 will be available in a 4-month booking window instead of the usual 7. Reservations with check-in dates beginning on or after January 1, 2014, will be available to be booked through the typical 7-month booking window starting June 23.

Yes but the discussion is about one time use points not VGF points

If you re-read my post and the one I quoted, you will see I was trying to correct some misinformation. If you see Post #3 (from me), you will see I'm well aware of the question about One-Time-Use points.

From DVCMember.com:

Yes, I know that they can book using their points following normal rules but my answer was in reference to the original question.

My point was that just being an owner at VGF wouldn't allow them to book VGF in December prior to 4 months out, unless it was with VGF points and since one time use points are not resort specific, I doubt those would be available as an option to a VGF owner.

You can use 1 time points. I just was able to do it for December
