Hi, thanks in advance for your helpfulness...I know I can always count on the DIS!

We're renting at OKW from 7/6-7/8 from one owner and from 7/8 to 7/13 from a different owner. We would have DME with both reservations and the dining plan with the second (I may also add it to the first).

Can I somehow combine these two reservations so don't have to move rooms, check-out/check-in a 2nd time? If so, how? Member Services will no longer talk to renters so I don't think I can't talk with them about it and try to do it myself. Should I talk with one owner, both owners, which owner?

Thanks for the help!

Call MS and see if they can link the 2 together. We have done that with family members staying on their own ressie. They link them together and try to place our rooms near eachother. Can't hurt to try!

If you do not want to move, you need to ask each owner to call MS and have the reservations linked. (You are correct that you cannot do this yourself - MS will only talk to owners). However, if you do have them linked, you must have the DDP for the entire stay (or not at all). Once the reservations are linked, they will appear to the resort as one reservation. Of course, I assume that the reservations are for the exact same room type.

One thing to note is that they must be the exact same type of unit. For an OKW 2 BR that means both must be a lockoff or both must be a dedicated unit.

I ask both owners to call MS and link the reservations. I must have the Dining Plan for the whole time. DME shouldn't be a big deal, except that my arrival hotel will change from POP (where I'm currently booked) to OKW (where I'm renting on 7/6).

Yes, they're both studios...no problem there.

If I wait until I arrive, will I be able to link them myself or will I HAVE to check-in/check-out/check-in? What have been your experiences?

My experience is that if you link them you can keep the same room and it count as one stay including for the DDP. If you don't link them, you may or may not have to move but will have to check in again on the change over day.

I am & my friend are DVC owners. I have linked 2 ressies together (same room type). When it came to the next ressie, I had to move because the resort was full & my room was need for an extended stay. You might be lucky, on the morning your first ressie ends at OKW, call really early in the am to see if you can keep your room or if you have to move. If you have to move see if you can get your room then so you will have some place to go when you come back from your day and you can move your stuff. Good Luck and have a great time
