Can I choose which Fantasmic show to view w/dining pkg?

I booked a dining package at Café Orleans.
I also want to book the Tomorrowland Terrace fireworks dessert show.

????---Can I request the later Fantasmic show?

We will have dinner at Café Orleans.
Go to the Tomorrowland Terrace dessert event at 9something.
Once that's done, over to Fantasmic into the "reserved seating" area for the late show.

Anyone else don't this? Thanks in advance!

Yes, you can choose the show time.

However, what dessert party at tomorrowland Terrace? Are you thinking WDW? The skyline lounge is not a dessert party and does not provide the best view of fireworks. It is a "lounge experience", where you get a boxed dessert/snack box. But the view of fireworks is from the back of the Matterhorn and you don't hear the music. It is also too crowded to try to get from the backside of tomorrowland and to Rivers of America for the Fantasmic package. The Hub gets insanely crowded, and there is crowd control in effect so there is only one entrance thru Frontierland, which is just masses of people. So I wouldn't recommend it at all!

Instead, get Fantasmic for the first show and stay to watch fireworks. They project images on the water screens.

That's good to know about choosing the show time...although, wouldn't it depend on whether they still have spaces available for the show you want?

I thought your dining resevation time dictated your show time, but when we checked in for our 4:50 pm reservation at RBT, we were asked if we wanted the first or second show time.

I agree with the pp - I would not try to fit the dessert/snack box in. Plus, your Cafe Orleans dinner will come with dessert. We were stuffed after our meal. The water screens that accompany the fireworks are pretty cool, those are in the same place as Fanstasmic!. Plus the crowd traffic, I just don't see how it would be worth getting over to tomorrowland and back again - so congested and one-way traffic down and back up main street and then through the hub. You'd have a much more relaxing evening staying in the dining/Fantasmic area.

Yes. We were also asked which show we wanted at our 5:30 p.m. reservation. And we were all stuffed after dinner and dessert. We were happy watching the fireworks from our Fantasmic spot. When we were ready to leave after the fireworks, the walkways were insanely crowded and everyone was forced into very controlled one-way traffic by CMs, for safety. I was glad that we were not trying to go anywhere except the exit.

Just another thought/wrinkle...the current knowledge is for the Blue Bayou and RBT dining packages, but it's possible that things could be different when the package moves over to Cafe Orleans. RBT doesn't start offering the F! dining package until 4:00 pm, but CO is offering it all day long.
