Can I change room category?

Hi!

Is it possible to change my room category after I've already paid in full? If so, will Disney credit my credit card?

Here's my situation:
I booked a POR Royal Room 9/4-9/9 with free dining promo. I only booked the Royal Room because that was all that is available and would be 'happier' with a king size bed as it's only DH and I. Plus, save some money.

Now on the WDW website, King Bed is available and I want to switch this.

If you are before the 30 day pay-in-full day, yes you can change and Disney will refund.

You are outside of your 30 day cancellation policy, so, yes, you can switch and they will credit.

Are you asking if you can keep your free dinning but change your room category? I assume you didn't book the category you wanted and accepted another room category because they weren't offering the promo for the room category you wanted when you booked, in which case it depends on if rooms are currently available w/ the free dinning promo in the category you prefer.
If you want to switch to whatever price/promo is currently being offered for the room category you prefer then yes - they'll cancel/rebook from one package to another w/ the funds you've paid. Going to/from room only to package used to be more problematic (sometimes requiring refund of funds) but I'm not sure if that's still the case.
