Can i change reservation?

My 180 days will be in March. My sisters family is joining us in September but their plans aren't set in stone yet. If I make reservations for all 7 of us but later need to change it to 4 people is that difficult to do? Can I just go online and change the number of people? Or do I need to make a new reservation? The only one I'm concerned about is BOG. I'm hoping to snag one and don't want to lose it. Thx!

That has happened to us already. We had to cancel our reservations and make new ones.

I have been able to do that with no problem. We have also just left the reservation (changed at last minute) and they were fine that our reservation for 8 was only 6. The CM I worked with making the reservation told me it is better to have too many on the reservation then to not have it big enough.

My sister and husband decided to join our March trip also.

I have already made ressie for 4 people at some restaurants. Can I call the ADR hotline to change it to 6 people? Or do I need to constantly check online to spot for 6 people??

Make your reservations for the maximum number of people that might be there. It is always easier to reduce the number than to try and add extra people. If you want to reduce the number of people call first. If the CM cannot do it, you can just show up at the restaurant and let them know there are less than the original reservation. Or you can try looking online to see if you can book a smaller table. If you have any pre-paid reservations (dinner shows or CRT) it is best to call and take your sister's family off the reservation.

Call and see if the reservations can be changed to 6. For the ones that cannot be changed you will have to see if you can find a reservation online for 6 or at least for 2 at the same time as your current reservation and ask if you can be seated together. If you show up at the restaurant with 2 people not on your reservation the CMs will do their best to seat them, but there's no guarantee. There is a small chance that the restaurant is at maximum capacity per safety and fire codes or the restaurant might be running late and not seating extra people (have seen this happen).
