Can I change parks after booking VQ?

We are doing a very short Disney stop before our cruise. We would prefer to start our day at Animal Kingdom and then hop to Epcot. But we also want to ride GoG twice if possible (I know, we want it all). If I have a reservation at Epcot and that morning I book VQ and ILL - would I still have those available to me if I then switched my reservation to AK and hopped to Epcot at 2? Or would they go away when I change my reservation? (I also know this assumes I can get VQ and that AK is still availabl)

No, the VQ spot cancels when you cancel the Epcot reservation.

Well, I may be worng, I know the BG for ROTR did cancel.

Do you have proof of this? It’s the first we’ve had reported that this happens.
I would be very surprised if they're correct - if only because I can't imagine that anyone would have tried doing this so soon after the ride opened. People just want to ride the thing - I don't think anyone would want to risk their spot.

@ajgardner - it was definitely possible to book a VQ and switch parks with Remy earlier this year.

(In my opinion, implementing an auto-delete would pose a lot of risks with very few rewards for Disney.)

Remember if you cancel your park reservation you take the chance of being unable to get into any park if they’re all full.
WDW added the option to modify a reservation, so you don't have to cancel a reservation to change parks. If nothing's available, you can just keep what you have.

Does the modify option work for day tickets? I have an AP and can modify if they aren’t booked using a resort reservation.

Oh crap - you're right. I'm on auto-pilot. It definitely works for APs - I'm honestly not sure about day tickets, but last I heard the modify option was AP-only.
