Can I change my screen name ?

Is it possible to change my screen name without loosing my existing posts? Or do I just start a new profile.

I don't think so. Besides, why would you want to? Anyway, with only 23 posts, there's not all that much catching up to do. I'd put together a new profile, and subscribe to all my old threads...that way you won't miss anything!

Unfortunately, it is not possible to change your screen name without losing your post count.

Lucky for you, you don't have that many posts to count.

This is my new username. On my old screen name I have over 1500 posts and two tags but I am being "stalked" by someone who gets a thrill out of reading my posts. And keeping track of everything I have to say here. She even tried to use one of my posts against me once.

In any event, I still have my old user name I'm just not using it for awhile.

Sorry if I went on in my own little direction. I admit it's got me a little bitter but the short answer is no, you can't change your username you just have to create a new one.

I just started posting on my Alter Ego I'mNoPrince to start to build it up before I switch over full time to it.

I just wanted a new name and a bit of privecy. The people on the DIS that know me all know I'm switching and I have that in my new Username so people don't think I'm pull anything over on them.There will still be a bit hidden .

I'm will stop useing this when I hit the 5000 mark.so it will be soon 23 can be reposted or just subcribed to with no problem.

I'd love to let others know who I am so that they don't think "I'm pulling anything over on them" but I just haven't figured out how yet. Unless I send them some PMs (to those I care to have know). I just definately crave the privacy. I know I made the mistake of telling family and friends my username when I was singing the praises of the Disboards!! I mean, afterall, this is a great place!! But, I've shared my opinions on things before, i.e. the Church, the world of politics and just whatever and it's just gotten ugly before. It still didn't change how I felt but had they not known my username then they couldn't have misconstrued my opinion and we'd all be a happy bunch.

Thats where I'm running into the problem . Not here on the DIS but people I'm trying to help by giving them this great sight to use.

I even post some work stuff that I really don't care about but it will help keep the questions down.
