Can I change dates on park tickets purchased from 3rd party

I have rented DVC points for my husband and me to stay at Disney World the last week of August 2025 via the DVC Rental Store. They also offered me a discount on park tickets that would save me $130. I know you can change your park ticket dates if purchased from Disney, but can I change them if purchased from the DvC Rental Store? I paid more to rent the DVC points from them to have the comfort of having their cancellation policy in case something happened and I needed to change the dates of our trip. I was just going to wait and purchase my park tickets at a later date using my Disney Visa Card Reward Dollars, but I have read some rumors that ticket prices are about to increase so that’s why I’m thinking about going ahead and purchasing the tickets and then using the Reward Dollars for our meals. Didn’t ticket prices just increase for 2025 this past February? Will they really increase again this month? We don’t plan to change our travel dates, but if for some reason we have to, I just want to make sure I can change the dates of the park tickets if purchased from DVC Rental Store.

You will probably need to go back through the 3rd party to make any change. Be sure to check their policy to know if they’ll work with you on an exchange. I believe at least 1 reseller charges a “restocking fee.”

Oh, okay - thank you. I probably wouldn’t want to risk doing that. Do you know if the rumors of ticket prices going up sometime around October 9-11 are legit? If they are, then I probably should go ahead and purchase our tickets. Is there usually an announcement that prices will be increasing, or does it just happen.

I have changed dates on park admission purchased through Maple Leaf Tickets and Undercover Tourist. Once you load them into MDE, you work through Disney (website, app, phone call) to change the dates. You'll have to pay the difference if the days you choose cost more. As I recall, there was no refund if the days cost less.

I was able to change the date of a MNSSHP ticket that I bought through Viator. I called in to Disney and the CM had no problem changing the date. I did have to pay the price difference since I changed a September ticket to an October ticket, but I was of course expecting to do this. What surprised me was that I only paid the difference between what Disney was charging for the September ticket and not what I paid for it through Viator.

As far as I know, if you buy tickets through a third party like DVC Rental Store, changing dates might not be as flexible as buying directly from Disney. You’d probably have to reach out to them directly to see what their policy is on date changes. Also, ticket prices do tend to increase, so locking them in early could save you some cash. If you're using Reward Dollars for meals, that sounds like a good plan too!
