Hi
After lurking on the boards and reading all of your wonderful advice we decided to buy into DVC. We bought a resale contract at SSR and are hoping it goes through in the next few weeks.:worship:

I would like to get a nice 2010 DVC Ornament but haven't found them anywhere. - Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

:confused3, are they free if you attend the "merry mixer"? do
you need tickets? & are they near christmas?

thanks! :flower3:

Chistmas ornaments are handed out, one per family, when you exit the merry mixer, held once per week in December (dates have been published).

Yes, you need a ticket (and they are very expensive). You need your DVC membership cards to get in! Don't leave home without it!

I believe dates for 2010 are still pending on the Website. Old dates for 2090 were put up in error initially. Unless this was added very recently. Was held Thurs late afternoon last year. There is an old thread on what to expect for the Mixer if you do a search.

Can you clarify what you mean by "ticket" - You don't need to pay to enter the mixer, right?
thanks
mary

The mixer is free, you just need your membership card to enter. :goodvibes

I'm forgetting if the tent was set up inside or outside of the EPCOT gates though. I want to say outside, but the location in my memory seemed to be inside. A little help here guys?

Thanks for the info on getting an "official" DVC ornament from the Merry Mixers... I probably won't be able to go this year; is there any other place to buy an ornament with the DVC logo?

I saw that Hallmark has some Disney ornaments but I didn't see any with the DVC logo.... any ideas?
THANKS!

I don't know where you live but year before last, the DVC place at Woodfield Mall handed out ornaments when you showed your DVC member card.

The Doorway to Dreams store in the Roosevelt Field mall in New York had them last year as well.

The merry mixer is at the International Gateway just outside EPCOT on the walkway to BWV and BCV.

We bought one at OKW several years ago. It might have been in 1998.

the past 2 years, out guide has mailed ours to us. he has already said he'll do it again this year if we can't make it to the doorway to dreams store in chicago. yet another reason our guide is great!

The OKW gift shop had DVC ornaments this past July.

I was bummed I didn't buy them when I saw them there on Day 1 of our trip. I later checked out the gift shops at: AKV (both Jambo & Kidani), BCV, BLT, & SSR and none of them had the ornament. I never made it back to OKW.

BTW - Welcome Home and Congratulations from Mickey, :mickeyjum Goofy, :goofy: and Me! :cool1:
Good Luck on getting a DVC Christmas Ornament! :santa:

Give me a pm after Christmas as we are going down and will be trying to get there. If I get an extra ornament I will send one to you.
