We normally stay in a 1br but are staying in a deluxe studio, has anyone brought a waffle maker from home to use at the resorts? Looking to save money on breakfast.

We haven't had a need to bring any small appliances in the past, but we're now planning to buy a toaster for the new VGF studio hotel rooms since they don't have proper kitchenettes. It's worth the minimal cost of a cheap appliance for us to buy one each time since they made the decision to forego that.

You could bring your own or if not particular about the brand, call housekeeping and ask if they've one.

They have some small appliances not listed on the kitchen equipment list for the full kitchens.

As we were leaving last trip, a family was unloading their van and removed a blender, bread machine, rice cooker, electric grill, blender and stand mixer. I wouldn't have been surprised if they'd also brought an electric can opener!

Did they have a room just for the appliances?

Do you know what is on the list? Just curious. There are times for the two of us, I wish we had a grill type pan to make fry eggs, grilled sandwich, etc. When we had the whole family a crock pot would have been nice.

I wouldn't be surprised if a number of people bring a small air fyer.

I've seen hand mixer, blender and electric kettle on the kitchen equipment list sometimes in the 1brs where we've stayed. These three are marked "upon request" on the list.

We actually had a blender in the cupboard in a BRV 1br once. I presume someone asked for it and stored it there during their stay, overlooked by the Mousekeeper upon their departure.

I did overhear a Mousekeeper telling another guest that they have some other small appliances and to call to find out what was available. I figured the Mousekeeper wasn't to say what they might have for fear of disappointing the guest if what was wanted was in use or otherwise unavailable. Or, the CM practice of never saying "I don't know," possibly.

Are you familiar with Owner's Locker? Looking into getting that service might be helpful if you go regularly and would rather not haul appliances every time.

We brought frozen waffles before. Homemade are better, but the frozen ones really cut down on time and mess. Also, you dont need to pack another appliance because a toaster is already part of the kitchenette.

I intend to ask for a toaster when I go in hopes they have some to bring.
