Can I Book the ADR's Before Booking the Trip?

Wondering if I can call in the ADR's before I purchase the trip package? Don't want to drag my feet on the dining, but still debating the resort at the moment.

Sure, Orlando residents and people staying offsite book reservations all the time. Of course you would not qualify for the 180+10 for onsite guests only but other than that, you're free to make reservations.

Anyone can make a reservation 180 days out. In order to offer another incentive to onsite guests, they can now call on the 180 day prior to their first dining reservation and make all their dining reservations for their entire trip (up to 10 days long). Used to, you had to call at 180 days out for each day of your trip (so you'd have to call 7 days in a row) and now you can just make one call. It's a convinence (sp?) thing and it saves on long distance calls to be able to make all the reservations at once.

If you're already less than 180 days out from your trip, you can make them all in one call anyways.

Most of us are having to make ADR'S before we can even finish booking our trips cause non of the 07 packages are out yet. I spoke to a cm at disney travel today. I asked if the dining plan or even maybe another round of free dining will be brought back for jan/feb seasons since that's when people start back to work after holidays and schools start back, but she acted if that's not going to happen, but the ddp will be back. Also she mentioned the ME will be still going, but she did not want to say for sure if it would still be free or not they are still disscussing that. She had no ideas what would be going on for the 07 packages and stated she had only been there since last setember so she had no idea when they came out for 06 before. She also said CM only here things that Disney does not tell them anything hence all the different things you get told by each different cm. She also said basically they don't know when they come out till they get to their comps and the codes are there for them. I was told a week or so ago though it would be mid-end sept so who knows.
