Not sure if the belongs here or on the cruise board. Anyway here goes. We want to book AKL Concierge for our trip next year. However, we'll be on our anniversary cruise at our 11 month booking window this year. Will I be able to book at the DVC desk on the Fantasy or will I just have to suck it up and pay to get online?

Cheers

Pay and get online if you can.

The DVC desk is for sales, not reservations.

Our last cruise the internet was down more than up.

Even when it's up, it's really slow. Plus you might have to wait to use a terminal so plan ahead.

Your question's already been answered, but I just wanted to say that your problem is a GREAT problem to have in life: the dilemma of how to book a Disney vacation while on a Disney cruise.

Sometimes I think many (not saying YOU) forget just how fortunate we have it. DH and I are not wealthy by ANY stretch of the imagination or use of the word, but when our problem of the day is juggling Disney vacations, we take a step back for a second and just remember how nice we actually have things. Just sharing a smile and a happy thought with you. Enjoy your cruise and may you click quickly to keep those internet fees down while booking from onboard. :wizard:

Thanks for the quick replies and tips. I rarely use "never" or "always". But I never forget how fortunate I am and am always grateful to those who have helped me along the way. Thank Dreams for reminding me to take a pause to think about it today! :thumbsup2

Is there anyone who will be at home that you trust to do it for you? With the pathetic speed of the onboard internet and the difficult-to-get Concierge reservation I don't even think it's worth attempting yourself. Perhaps a family member or friend would be able to do it for you instead?

I agree with this. Even temporarily adding someone as an associate member to do if for you would be best. Better yet if that person was a DVC member themselves.

I would suggest calling MS from your cell phone if possible. It will cost a few bucks per minute but you can be done in only a few minutes. You could probably complete your call in less time than it would take to connect online (with a lot less agrivation as well). If you choose to call, just tell MS when you get throught that you are making an expensive call from the ship and you would like to expidite the call. They will "hurry" for you.

Well, remember that MS opens an hour after on line booking is available.
