Can I be stupid and ask what Osbourne Lights are?

I have no idea? Where are they at? (and don't try to fool me and say it has something to do with Ozzie - I'm not quite THAT stupid! )

I asked on another thread but so far no reply!! My countdown is very short as you see!

You can read about it on allearsnet, but from what I gather these lights belonged to this Osborne family and became a big deal at their house until the neighbors got sick of the traffic. Disney picked it up and started displaying the lights in MGM. They've added to it, and now it's a big hit.

There is a small (by Disney Standards) display at the end of San Francisco St. (if I recall correctly) That tells all about why the Osbornes did what they did, and why Disney Moved it to MGM. It is worth a read.

We're not really into Christmas lights, but we enjoyed the display (which was being set up while we were there). This year, they added synchronization of the lights to music, which should be really fun!

Thanks everyone ... they look fabulous and I won't have time for MGM this visit!! I should have known that is where they were. I am just not up to speed on knowing about Disney Studios ... Well ... maybe a Christmas trip someday ....

Did everyone read in the Mickey Monitor that they will be the dancing lights this year? Every 15-20 minutes they will dance to the music-sounds cool!

Go to YOUTUBE.COM and search for "MGM Dancing Lights" to see videos taken last night of the Osbourne Lights. It was fantastic!

You know, I was turned off at the thought of anything Christmas having anything to do with Ozzy... but now knowing it's a whole other family and not some perverted mix of Ozzy's family with the Christmas celebration makes me even more excited to go!! I guess I was dumb to think it was in connection to Ozzy. Thanks for the info and links.

It doesn't take long to see them. If you have a hopper pass, you can just go over for like the last hour the park is open and see all of them. Just a thought. I saw them last year for the first time; I was more impressed than I thought I'd be.

Osborne lights are a MUST see, Kinda cheezy but when I went last year , stood in the falling snow, saw the lights, heard the music...... I stood there with snow in my hair and cried!!!! It is the ultimate Christmas Expierence!
