for someone else to stay in as a gift? Or does the person staying in the room have to be the AAA member? I want to send my sister on a birthday trip, and have found a good AAA rate at a Sheraton. I have AAA and would be paying for it in advance, but she doesn't. Does she need to join in order to take advantage of the rate? Thanks

In the past ,I have booked hotels on there sites using AAA discount and have been asked to show my card . Though you might be able to do it when you book packages from AAA . The chance you take booking alone is whether the person is going to check the card or not. i honestly think if you just lent the card to her for her trip you would be fine. I dont think they actually READ the name on the card.
