Can I add another person if we are leaving in 2 weeks?

My son wants to invite a friend on our cruise. We have enough room since we have two rooms and can pay asap, but was insure if it is too late to add someone?

If there is space in the life boat for the staterooms or rooms yes if not no.

Just tacking on here that adding a passenger will be at current fares, not what you paid when you originally booked. Having 2 staterooms with an extra bed may not mean there is space available for your lifeboat; DCL allows for flexibility by having rooms with more beds. And if your son and his friend are under 18, there will need to be space in the appropriate kids' club as well.

I am also considering adding a person but I am not sure how that affects the price I have already paid.
Is it like cancelling the booking and then rebook with the extra person against today's price ? But how about cancellation fees ?
Will that be charged as well ?

When trying to add a person, DCL will ask three questions:
1) is there bed space in the room?
2) is there space in the lifeboat that room is assigned to?
3) is there space in the appropriate kid's club? (if applicable)

If the answer is "no" to any of these questions, you cannot add another person.

If the answer is "yes" to all of them, the person being added will pay the prevailing rate for that person (today's rate). There is no cancel or price increase for others in the room.

Thank you for your answers. We have 2 Deluxe Family Oceanview staterooms with verandah. Able to sleep five, but as of right now we only have 3 people in each room. I hope when I call they will let me add him. My son is an only boy and he has never invited anyone.
