Can I add a day to a ticket?

We'll be in Orlando February 24 - March 2nd. We've been to Universal before but not since 2011. We'll be skipping some of the more intense rides, because husband has a bad back. Coming to Universal to see the newer Harry Potter stuff mostly. We plan to avoid going on the weekend, BTW.

We're also doing Disney and some day trips out of Orlando. Trying to figure out whether to buy a 1 day or 2 day park to park ticket. If we buy a 1 day and before we leave we decide we want to come back for another day, can we add a day to the ticket?

Yes, you can take your ticket to guest services in the park to upgrade but it would have to be the same day you use the ticket (if it's a 2 day ticket then take it before the end of day 2) Otherwise you'd have to buy a new, separate one day ticket.
