I made all of my ADRs for my upcoming June trip months ago for 10 people, but now my brother who didn't want to go originally, wants to go. I checked and it is impossible to get new ADRs for 11. Can we just show up and perhaps they will accommodate us or can I call and add 1 person to the ADRs?

I spoke to someone on the phone about this. We are 6 but one of my parents may not come, they will know closer to the time we booked. The person I spoke to at disney told me to book for 6 and it can easily be reduced to 5. If I originally did 5 and then tried to up to 6 she told me it would be much more difficult because once the resturant reaches fire code capacity they cannot seat anymore people. Which is what adr's partially control.

I don't think it will help to just bring the person because of the fire code mentioned above.

But never say never. if you have no other choice and you get to the day without a change then you may have to try it.

The best thing is to try and add him to the adr. If you can't, you can try to add him when you get there but be prepared for him to be turned away.

If the restaurant is booked they won't allow him to be seated because of fire codes. WDW is strict on this policy and it is highly likely when you go to a popular place or haven't had luck changing your adr.

So have him a back up plan of CS or another TS close by so he can meet up with you later. You can always make a ressie for 2 at another TS incase someone wants to go with him so he doesn't eat alone.

Good luck but don't count on it.

It's possible they won't accommodate him.

If the restaurant is full to capacity when you check in they won't admit the extra person. That's not likely, most of the time they will allow extra people in, but it's possible, so you should be prepared for your brother or the entire group to have to go elsewhere. You may also get in, but have to wait longer because you're changing table size.

They won't just add one person to the party, they'd have to cancel for 10 and rebook for 11. If there's nothing available for 11 in the system, you're out the reservation.

As others said, you can try. Did you try to call the group dining number? If you can't add online that usually means they are full. I would call the group dining to ask though.
