Planning to stay at the Fort Wilderness Cabins, and my parents may or may not join us. Can I go ahead and make reservations, and if my folks show up they can just sleep with us in the extra beds? They don't need package tickets or anything, probably just a day pass they'll pick up on their own. We'll be showing up via Magic Express bus, but my folks will drive in their own car. Can we get in trouble for doing something like this?

You won't get in trouble if you're still under or at the capacity of the cabins which is 6 people. If you book a room only, just add them to the reservation. If you have a package, just add them to the room at the check in desk when they arrive. You don't pay extra for extra adults in the cabins.

I think that they are regarded like the villas where there is not an extra adult feee for over two adults in a room. You can add them to your reservation if they come and they will get magic bands and be eligible for extra magic hours. Only downside is that while you can book your fast passes at 60 days they will not be able to. I would think that if theres no extra fee you could probably add them now and then if they decide not to come you can drop them with no penalty. I'd call and speak to a guest services rep

The only reason not to add them is if you are booking a package and they don't want or need what you are getting with a package (tickets and /or dining). Everyone in the room has to get the same package that you book except when guests are added after arrival at the resort. They are not required to get the same package components if you do that.

According to the Disney site the cabins are not treated like the villas. There is an extra adult fee for more than two adults. So they would have to be added to the reservation.

Add them to the reservation when they arrive. You will pay the fee but it is worth it in that they will then be authorized to use the amenities that resort guests are entitled to.

I did this when my son and DDIL surprised us with a visit.

You will need to ask for a parking pass for their car. Day passes are only good for a few hours and time stamped. If you are considering not adding them to the reservation, I think asking for a parking pass when the CM can see that you're using DME might raise an eyebrow.

As for the extra adult fee, we did not pay extra for a third adult in our cabin. Also if you go online and compare prices on the disney site, a reservation for 2 adults is the same price as a reservation for 6 adults in the cabins. You also do not pay the extra adult fee in the art of animation suites.

Check out the camping at Disney forum also. There's lots of information about the Fort.

Exactly, When I plugged in 2,4, and 6 adults the rack rate remained the same.

We've never paid an extra adult per night fee at the cabins, because there is none. Another reason we love the Fort :)
