If we put new carpet in the whole house, can we move the furniture onto the carpet immediately or do we have to leave it all in the front yard for awhile?

I'm no expert (we've got wood just about everywhere) but we've always put the furniture right back. I can't think of a reason why you might need to wait :confused3.

The carpet installer was actually finishing the installation of our carpet the day we were moving in when we built our house. We moved everything in right behind him and have had no problems.

Move it in.

Yep, you should be fine! I don't think it has to sit and dry like paint. :teeth:

The only thing to be careful of: don't drag really heavy furniture across large expanses of carpet, you could get some "waves" in the carpet.

Well, we moved the furniture from room to room as they laid the carpet. But, if it's going to be glued down that might be a problem.
