Can extra guests just "watch"?

Hello!

I was curious...

I know that an intimate wedding has to have 18 guests or fewer... but what is to stop more guests from watching? For example, the YC Gazebo seems to be so open, that I'm sure people could watch from afar? Does Disney stop this?

Just curious! I guess any extra guests could request gazebo views at the YC!

No they will not be able to. The wedding planner will stop any other guests at the bottom of the walk way and ask them to leave, i saw someone doing this at a wedding i saw a few weeks ago.

I've heard the planners can be very millitant about this. People can stop and watch but it's from a serious distance, so I doubt anyone would feel that they had truely been to your wedding, doing that. We did have a few people congratulate us who'd seen us getting married from the ferry between the MK and the TTC, but that's as close as anyone came to ours.

thanks for asking this question as I was wondering about this too.
My dad and step-mum will be coming to our vow renewal during a week's vacation to Florida, with two of their friends that I don't really know, so I was wondering if they could 'watch' but obviously I don't want to have to pay for someone I don't know that well to attend. At least I know the answer, should my dad 'hint' about them coming.

True! Im not familiar with how good a view that would allow, but if your guests wouldn't mind watching your wedding from their room...Disney shouldn't be able to stop them! I mean, thats a good idea for people who have more then allowed number of guests!

In theory yes this can work if they are happy to view from a distance!
Dont forget though, this would just be a request! and not a guarantee!

Id be pretty upset if id planned on guests getting these rooms so they can view the wedding and then for whatever reason they dont and cant see anything!
