How you are paid should be outlined in the company's policy. I believe even if WV is a state which allows for mandated direct deposits, employees must be notified in advance. The West Virginia Labor Laws should be available online.

A lot of states are going to an ATM-like way of being paid. This allows for people without bank accounts to access funds.
