Pool hopping is allowed at almost all the Disney resorts for DVC members during a stay using points at a DVC resort. The current exceptions are all pools connected to Yacht and Beach Club and BCV as well as the pools at AKV and the pool at BLT will also be in the no hopping category. There are several black out periods during the year = Christmas, Easter, and several other holidays where no pool hopping is allowed. You are supposed to check with the hotel to find out if it is okay since they can say no if they are very busy. I have never had this happen but have only hopped to CSR in the last few years when we went to Pepper Market for a meal.
hope on the monorail for a day at the "beach" and Poly pool? Cool!So as a BLT owner, I would just call Poly desk, ask if we can come overhope on the monorail for a day at the "beach" and Poly pool? Cool!
Yes, if you are staying at BLT and want to swim at Poly, that is all it will take!!!
so owners at BLT/AKV/YC/BC can pool hop to any resort but not vice versa is that correct
Members staying at BCV and AKV using points can pool hop subject to the other limitation but not vice versa. It remains to be seen exactly how it'll work at BLT but my guess is BLT and CR will be removed from the PH options once the resort is well into sales and possibly as early as when it opens.so owners at BLT/AKV/YC/BC can pool hop to any resort but not vice versa is that correct
No, not correct. It doesn't matter where you own; it's where you are staying on a a points reservation. If you own at BCV, but are staying at OKW, you still cannot pool hop to the pools at YC/BC/BCV. But if you are using your BCV points to stay at the BCV, you can swim at YC/BC/BCV. Likewise, if you are using your OKW points to stay at BCV, you can swim at YC/BC/BCV. Pool hopping is a member perk based on where you are staying, not where you own.
And if you are not staying on your points at a DVC resort, you cannot pool hop.
you didn't answer my question, which was can owners renters people paying cash at BLT/AK/BC/YC can PH to any resort not just these, but not the other way round
technically guests (including renters) not accompanying the member can't PH.you didn't answer my question, which was can owners renters people paying cash at BLT/AK/BC/YC can PH to any resort not just these, but not the other way round

I thought I did.
1. You must be a member or a guest staying with the member staying on a points reservation at a DVC resort to pool hop.
2. Pool hopping is not blacked out for a holiday period.
3. The resort where you choose to pool hop is not too crowded.
4. You must notify the resort where you wish to pool hop that you are planning on using their pool. They can tell you no and they can ask you to leave after they have told you yes.
5. You can swim at any pool at the resort you have a reservation at and any connected non-DCV resort at that DVC resort (ie. YC, BC, BWI, AKL, WL. CR).
6. If you are not staying at BLT, you cannot swim at the BLT pool.
7. If you are not staying at BCV, you cannot swim at any of the pools at YC/BC/BCV.
8. If you are not staying at AKL, you cannot swim at any pool at AKL/AKV.
9. If you are renting a reservation from a member, you are not entitled to pool hop.
10. You cannot pool hop to the Swan and Dolphin.
11. If you are a DVC member, but not staying on a points reservation at a DVC resort, you may not pool hop.
Did I answer your question that time??
That is correct. It's actually where you're staying, not where you own that determines this.I dont think I'm puting it how I mean to this is what i want to know, So I own and stay at SSR but i cant pool hop to YC/BC/BCV but can they pool hop To SSR is this right.

I didn't say it was, frankly, I don't think it is. But as Chuck points out, it likely doesn't have a large impact overall.how is that fair we are all in the DVC together are'nt we![]()
