Can Disney employees get discounts when ordering through Merchandise Guest Services?

Basic question...I have a friend who works for a Disney company...I have a SKU for a parks item I want to order through Merchandise Guest Services. Can he use his discount over the phone or via email to order it for me, or is that limited to in person/DisneyStore.com? Thanks!

Parent of a former CM here. The employee discount seemed to be a carefully guarded/checked situation. While I can't say for certain, I'm guessing that on-line orders would not be eligible for CM discounts. Of course the way to find out something on the internet is to post some incorrect info because someone will be along shortly to straighten you out. Let's see what happens.

Your best bet is to have your friend try. They can use their discount online at the Disney Store and in the Hub, so it's likely it would work, but your friend is going to have to be the one to buy it. And their discounts are not always the same on park items as store items. And you likely haven't gotten an answer because the discount is meant for the employee only. If he/she gets caught abusing it by using it for friends, they can get in serious trouble.
