Can Disney Dollars be used to buy DVC (points)?

Many have the Disney rewards card from Chase where each purchase earns a few Disney dollars throughout the year. My question: Are the accumulated dollars redeemable towards a new DVC purchase? What about adding points to existing ownership via "buying up" the following year(s)? Anyone know?

Nope. From DisneyRewards.com (footnote #3):

Disney Dream Reward Dollars can be redeemed for Disney Vacation Club membership dues, hotel stays at Disney Vacation Club resorts, merchandise purchases, room charges (including groceries) and activities but cannot be redeemed toward the purchase of a real estate interest in a Disney Vacation Club Resort.

How many Disney Dollars have you earned?!? At $165/point, and a minimum add-on of 25 points, I don't think you'd get too far with this plan.
