If you call 407-WDW-DINE to do ADRs (or whatever the number is when you're in a resort), are they able to tell you all the restaurants that have availability for a specific date (rather than just checking each restaurant you ask for). We have all our ADRs made, and I don't think we'll change any. I was just wondering if there would be an easier way if we changed our minds.

i don't know if they can do this in advance, but when i called to cancel a Teppanyaki ADR one afternoon for that evening (we were wiped out and could not imagine the trek into Epcot *just* for dinner!) i asked if anything else (easier to get to) was available and she rattled off about ten choices... we opted for Boatwrights (staying at POFQ) and it turned out to be the perfect meal (followed by legal-pool-hopping at POR pool)...

p.s. here's the toll free (in the US) number for ADRs 1-800-828-0228 :)

 I had no idea there was a toll free number! All this time I've been paying long distance for the call...

1) No
2) You must inquire about specific restaurants-dates.
39 They can then tell you available time for the eatery and date.

I've called in the past (while on a trip) and asked for any availability information-- I gave them the date and general area, I also specified that I was looking for a certain meal seating. But I never had to ask for a specific time or restaurant.

In the case above, I asked for availability for any dinner seating at an Epcot restaurant and the CM even included availability at some of the Epcot resort area restaurants during the phone call.

When we missed our early morning ADR, I called and asked if Coral Reef had any spots. They didn't, but the CM kept naming places that did until I took Le Cellier. Of course, at the time, I thought my DS11 would hate it, but that is the one place he WANTS to eat at again! LOL

I think it depends who you get on the phone. Two weeks ago when I called to see if I could switch to a later time for 1900 PF (couldn't do it, as it was booked all night) they just told me a few places that were open without me asking. Then, a week ago I called again asking the same thing (in hopes someone cancelled) and I asked the girl if she could look and tell me what was available anywhere for that time and she said no..she needed the name of a restaurant first and then she could look up availability. In the end I just kept what I had.

So, this looks like this is one of those "depends on..." questions. Thanks for the answers! Hopefully we'll stick with the ADRs we have, but you never know what might pop up.
