Can Castaway Silver get a cabana on CC?

A celebrity was on our last cruise and someone from our meet group said that they had the cabana next to them. Oh so jealous!!!

Can you tell us who it is?!

Also, I had no luck booking a cabana as a silver, and still have no luck as a gold member. Still check every day though. You never know...

Just put of curiosity, what makes it feel like the best money ever spent?

Several reason...they have a safe in them that is similar to the one in the stateroom - so we were able to take the dslr camera and take pictures and then lock it up when not in use. They are stocked with cold soft drinks, water, wet(cold) cloths, fresh fruit, granola bars and chips. We also were provided with nice towels and given fresh ones throughout the day. There was a ceiling fan, nice padded loungers, changing area, sand toys and magazines. If we needed anything, there was a call button for the host. We cruised in July and the other beaches were very crowded... Our beach was not. Also floats and snorkel equip was included. Bottom line it was the convenience and amenities which made it priceless for our family. Hope to score one in March!

Just FYI... my booking window for my 3 day Oct 4 cruise just opened a little over an hour ago and I was able to book 2 cabanas! :cool1: I'm just a silver member so 90 days out. They are all sold out now. I wasn't paying attention and finally logged in at 12:09 and there were 3 left. I booked one then went in to see if I could get another one since we are travelling with 36 people and it let me book another cabana. Now they are all sold out. I don't even know if I need both but I grabbed them since we are a big group with some grandparents and young babies.

So, it is possible!! Just make sure you log in right at midnight on the first day of your opening. :)

I am also on the 3 night on 10/4 and silver. I logged in a midnight and #2,3,4,5,and 6 were available. Really wanted one on Serenity Bay since it's just me and the wife, but any old cabana will do.

It is possible!

We were on the Dream double-dip cruise last year, August 2 - 7. 2011. I think having 2 Castaway Cay days helped.

We initially were only able to book an Adult Cabana for our first CC day. That meant that our 17 year old DS would be out of luck.

But when we got on board, we got a call from Concierge Services, saying that one of the famillies in the Family Cabana did not make it on the boat, and did we want their cabana instead?

You bet we did!

As for why we loved it, well, our DS ran (and came in second!) in the Castaway Cay 5K that morning, and the ice-cold washcloths from the fridge were great for his legs! He loved stretching out on the loungers, and we loved the granola bars, pop, and fruit waiting for us.

Other perks: All day snorkel rental, 1 hour bike rental, private outside shower, secluded area of the beach, sand toys and sunscreen, shade and shelter, a safe for valuables, fridge, and a private attendant.
