can boardwalk guest use beach club pool?

I just got word fro Disney that the boardwalk pool will be closed when we are there in February. I thought in the past that boardwalk guest were allowed to use the beach club pool. I am sure that has changed but I am hoping someone will make my day and say it is true!

Under normal conditions, only guests of the Beach Club, Beach Club Villas and Yacht Club may use the pools at YC/BC/BCV.

In the past, Disney has made arrangements for guests to use at least one pool at another resort when their resort's main pool is being refurbished. I would assume that will be the case while the BWV/BWI pool is closed, but we haven't heard anything definitive yet.

We're staying BWI CL at the end of January. I e-mailed BWI IPO on December 8 and asked whether SAB would be available for BWI guests to use during the closure. BWI IPO responded that the only pool options available at this time are the quiet pools at BWI. I told IPO that was both unusual and disappointing, as our experience at WDW has always been that if a deluxe pool or slide is closed, guests have the option of using another resort's themed pool and slide. For example, in April of this year, SAB was partially closed and we had the option of using Luna Park. In 2011, BWI guests could use SAB when Luna Park was closed and BC guests could use Luna Park when the SAB slide was down.

IPO responded that they receive all their information from the BWI front desk staff, and the BWI front desk staff reported that it's still just BWI quiet pools "at this time," but that additional options "may be forthcoming." One poster on the DVC boards reported that DVC Member Services said SAB would be available during the closure, but all other reports are that it's just quiet pools for now.

my ipo said that the pool refurb is not until the end of jan (we are going the beginning and I thought it was starting the 2nd of jan) and that yc/bc pool will most likely be allowed

With so many conflicting responses from Disney, I decided to follow up on my December 8 e-mail to BWI IPO. It's not necessarily any more definitive than any other responses from Disney, but here's the very prompt response I received from IPO today:

Good Afternoon,

Luna Pool will be closed from January 28, 2013 through March 1st. During this time you can enjoy our two leisure pools located adjacent to the Community Hall or on the Inn side. Guest staying at the Boardwalk Inn Resort will not be able to utilize Stormalong Bay.

We are arriving on February 1st and I got a letter on Wednesday that now states the pool will be closing on January 2nd and is expected to remain closed until March 2013. It also said that the 2 leisure pools will be available for use but did NOT mention the Beach Club Pool. I called DVC on Thursday and they stated the January 2nd date is correct and as of right now only the leisure pools will be available for use to BW guests. The rep I spoke with said he would not be surprised if BW guests could use the BC/YC pool but as of now it is no.

Someone on another thread stated they called BWI directly (who would be the ones to have the most recent information) and they were told they are in negotiations with BC/YC but as of yet BW guests cannot use the BC/YC pool but they are working on it.
