As some of you know I managed to get partner BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN tickets for London O2. we had a wicked time. on way back. cars starts making this awful sound....... the alternator was sparking shards of metal. something inside had broke off.

After finally getting home..... i came to cook tea. and my electric oven has bloody broke....

been to all electrical wholesales currys, comet, etc. and cookers in my price range they only have display models, and wont sell them....

its not over yet!! my Family were soposed to travel down from newcastle upon tyne to visit and exchange pressies and they cant come. I havent seen them since the summer, so on sat dinner i have to drive 243miles there and 243miles on the sunday morning (£100 fuel) as i need to take my land rover discovery as partner's car (diseal golf) in garage.

Can it get any worse????

Oh, these things so often come together. Sending you a big hug.

(My electric oven broke down last December but it was only the main oven element and DH was able to buy one over the internet quite cheaply.)

What a shame but you know what they say, everything happens in 3's and as you've had three your luck should change now

Things like this always happen to me and unless they happen in 3's I get worried so say s** it and just go with the flow now.

Have you a Costco near you that you could try? They hold stock of things for imediate sale and are open till 8pm tonight? I know there is one just off the M6 at Birmingham (noticed you are in Dudley)

ok so a feeling a little better...

Ordered cooker from comet- they are delivering it on 23rd dec.

Car awaiting alternator, will be fixed by 11-12am tomorrow. In time for jorney to tottenham for the spurs V Fulham match on Boxing Day, but not in time for my journey to newcastle....

Never mind, 2 things sorted. still not happy about leaving kids tomorrow to visit mom..... its just to long a jorney for my youngest(2) there and back in 24hours stuck in car seat and the oldest finds it bored.
