Hi, I have ADR's for the Cape May Cafe at the beginning of July but when I try to make them for later in the month it says nothing is available, does anyone know if it is closing for rehab? Surely not in high-season?

Hi ,

Yes according to the restaurant manager they are going to be closed for about a month re opening around 8/9th August.

I was wondering if they may open Ariel's to cope with the demand of such a large resort .

We always end our trip there with a nice walk around the Boardwalk loop afterwards and enjoy Illuminations .

We too tried Disney Dining several times , they were apparently being informed yesterday . :confused3

beaches and cream will be extra busy then! Glad we arrive later in August.

I had just read last night about the closure and I was so glad that our trip is in October because we are staying at YC and we have Cape May on our list for both breakfast and dinner the week that we are there. I might have cried if it was going to be closed.

WDW Magic had this to say:
Cape May Cafe at Disney's Beach Club Resort will be closing for a refurbishment this summer. The restaurant will close on July 9 through to August 4 2012, with a planned reopening on August 5 2012.

Oh, thank goodness--we arrive at the YC on the 7th of August, and we want our first meal to be the clambake. We want our last meal to be the Cape May character breakfast. It would have been so disappointing if we could not eat there.

We'll be there beginning on Aug. 17th for 12 days and my family will want to eat there twice. So, I'm glad they'll be reopenned.

I'm not going to be like others always do no matter what's closed and say yay for me, it'll be open when I get there. I'll just say I'm SAD for those that will not be able to go! BUMMER!!!!! if I were to have to miss i, I'd be BUMMED! Thanks for letting us know!;)

I am so disappointed that we will miss it this trip. We will be there during the refurb. There goes my son's favorite dinner meal. I guess now we will have to do Teppan Edo (his other favorite for his birthday dinner). I am going to have to break the closure to him gently. lol.
