I've got a almost 19 year old and she mentioned wanted jewlery for x-mas and her birthday is also in December, so I thought about Alex and Ani or someone similiar. Is the idea behind them to wear multiple bangles? Any information would be appreciated.

Also can I get these in a regular jewlery store?

Thanks!

My daughter just got one with her college on it. She just wears the one right now but some people wear multiples from their wrist right up to their elbow. So I think it is just a matter of preference.

They have their own stores in a few locations but they also sell them in The Paper Stores and Hannoush Jewelers, to name a few. If you go to alexandani.com , down at the bottom there is a link for Retailers.

I love Alex & Ani. I bought two Disney ones for myself. Those are only available at in Disney and on their website. My DD16 has a bunch and we have given many of them as gifts. They're reasonably priced. We like choosing ones for gifts that decribe that person's personality, sport they play, favorite team or for inspiration. Proceeds from some of them go to certain charities. They originated in Rhode Island and are very popular in CT. I work at a middle school and everyone (Adults and students) wear them. I know they great gifts for high school teens also.

You can "stack" them. Most people wear multiple bracelets at a time. I even stack mine with other bracelets including pandora. They're lightweight so it's easy to wear many at one time.

Hope this helps.

Yes, my 19 year old DD stacks them. She has about 6 of them. We got them at Hannoush jewlers.

The range from $24 - $30 each.

I got one from a friend for my birthday this year and I had never heard of them. We both went to RIC, and she told me that they're a RI company etc...and they made a large donation to the school.
I think they're really cool, and plan to give some as holiday gifts this year. I've seen them at WDW too; I might have to take a closer look next time.

Its a fad like Pandora. They are not soldered so they will snap. They are a popular item now, just don't expect quality or enduring wear to come of this purchase.
