can anyone sign up for National's Emerald membership?

I have been reading about these great June rates with Nationals emerald aisle. My question is: can anyone sign up for the membership, or is it for frequent business travellers only? I leave in 3 weeks and I am trying to get a better rate everyday. I currently have 9 days with Budget through SW rapid rewards for $268. Thanks in advance!!

Yes, anyone can join. There is a link on Mousesavers.com under rental cars for information on joining.

As far as I know anyone can sign up, but the benefits that go along with the code have certain rules pertaining to business travel that carry into leisure travel. So, if you read the fine print on the website and they really followed the rules, you would not qualify for the free 2nd driver, etc on leisure. I don't think I have heard of anyone being denied the benefits, but just be prepared.

Anyone can sign up. There is a fee to do so unless you use the mousesavers offer. I signed up with that free offer but didn't find rates to be all that fantastic. In fact they were higher than the Alamo rates we already had.

Emerald Club isn't necessarily about the rates as much as being able to walk to the Emerald Aisle, select your car and drive away with only a brief stop at the exit booth.

I've had a membership for over 10 years, never been charged and never had a problem. Almost always got an upgrade to full size.
