Can anyone share the name of town/area/destination that goes all out for Thanksgiving?

Cheesy Inflatables, not really, but something in keeping with other holiday celebrations so festivals, shows, events, horse drawn carriages, parades, lights up, specialty dining events, festive music, if a place exists I would show up. I would prefer a Southern warm climate as things get cold up North but anywhere that is all in works.

Thanksgiving is the biggest travel day of the year and yet it is super quiet for what towns do compared to 4th of July and Christmas were towns just burst with celebrations so more show is what I would love. Sure family is noice but I would LOVE something to do before the turkey and after the turkey and the whole weekend following the turkey. It used to be shopping but now that we have online it is a whole lot of nothin' to do.

We don't even have movie blockbusters to kick off the holiday season.

I think turkey trot 5k events can be found a lot of places, morning of thanksgiving. We also enjoy a morning hike in the woods some years. And we sometimes travel and spend time on a beach that morning.

If horse drawn carriage is important, you'd probably need to go somewhere they have those any time of year. Somewhere heavy in colonial history might fit the bill ... Williamsburg VA, Charleston SC, Savannah GA, St. Augustine FL, and then you'd have all the sightseeing stuff associated with those areas. But, even having been to some of those places during thanksgiving, I can't say that they 'go all out ' for that holiday, its just that they have stuff to do (which is available anytime of year) outside of just sitting around with family. As far as decor, I think most places are solidly into Xmas setups by then.
