I was looking at the menu for the Pepper Market & was thinking of suggesting it to my family. We are aware of how their set up works when you take a ticket & the Cast Member stamps it what you have ordered & you pay when you leave, because we go a restaurant in Toronto that is excatly the same way. Anyway were your experiences there good or bad? Also I remember reading a few months ago that someone said the Cast Members at the Pepper Market were very rude, or it could have been about Cast Members who were working at check in. Either way I remember reading something about rude Cast Members at Coronado Springs Resort, so if anyone can clear that up I would appreciate it.

We always stay at CSR and we love the Pepper Market!!! Nothing but good things to say about the food and the cast members :)

Hi ... We have been to Pepper Market on every trip to Disney in the last four years and have nothing but good things to say, especially about the CMs. I was so impressed with one of the CMs who remembered I chatted to them on a previous trip too. Remember, this is more like a TS but is still CS - the CMs will bring you refilld if you ask or you can help yourself. The chefs were really friendly too. My dh loves the rib eye steak and I love the bourbon chicken. Go & have a great time. :goodvibes :wave2:

We ate breakfast at Pepper Market ONCE during our week+ stay during Christmas 2004. The food was lukewarm at best, and, with the surcharge placed on everything, was a terrible buy.

Surcharge? I guess I've never read much about the Pepper Market, because we've never stayed there. But, we'll be there for the first time next month. How does it work?

Because it is "some service" there is a 10% surcharge (gratutity) added to each check. You get real place settings, not plastic, cloth napkins and a CM will get your drink for you.

I loved the Pepper Mkt. DH on the other hand didn't really care for it. We ate at the Pepper Mkt several times and DH got in "trouble" once for refilling his own drink but he waited for several minutes and finally just got up and she stopped him in the middle of his fill up and told him she would finish to go on and sit down. :lmao: DH didn't really care for the food and I don't know why because the dds and myself loved it.

We stayed at CSR in April and ate lunch here one of our first days. While I think it's a great deal on the dining plan (more of a table service food feel than a regular food court) we experienced some problems.

DH ordered a pizza for ds, which is made to order. His ticket was stamped and he was told to return in 10 minutes. He ordered and got his food and waited (eating a bit) and then returned to get the pizza. Turned out they gave it away to someone who walked up and ordered the same thing. They even questioned whether he had ordered it at all. He came back to the table, got the ticket to show them and had to order another one. This time he had to stand there for fear it would be given away again. Now remember his food is on the table and getting cold. After waiting for the second pizza, it turns out that the cooks burned it (along with several others in the oven at the time) and it was inedible. DH was really angry. He came back and I took the ticket over to the manager, explaining the situation and asking that it be taken off the ticket so I could order ds another meal (meantime the 8 yo hasn't eaten yet). He marks it off and initials it. I then proceed to explain that dh's meal is now ice cold from having to stand at the pizza counter due to their error. His response...well, it's very busy here. He offered nothing.

The server saw the problem, asked what was going on, and then took the ticket and dh's cold food. She brought him a completely new meal and kept the ticket, so we ended up getting all four CS meals w/o charging them against the plan.

While the outcome was to our advantage, the experience was not. DH refused to eat here again.

I would caution you to be sure, if you want pizza, that you order it first and wait for it before ordering any other food for your group. Also, be aware that due to conventions, it can get very, very crowded when the groups come out for lunch.

We LOVE Coronado springs, but Pepper Market is not our favorite:( To us its very confusing, with 2 little ones its very hard to get all 4 meals without losing someone or having a hard time carrying everything. The food was OK as I remember but a bit stressful for us :confused3

I usually drag DH here about once each trip. The steak is delicious, and made to order. The potato and veggies that come with it are also quite yummy! I would advise you have one person wait with a tray while the steaks are being cooked, not walk back to the table. The first two steaks we ordered were given to someone else who ordered after us, because we were told to come back in about 10 minutes (which we did). We went to look at deserts, came back, and had to reorder our steaks. Also, the chinese food is good, but definetly does not taste like it was cooked in your local takeout place- it's like when I try to cook chinese dishes at home, if that makes sense. I would recommend this CS if you have time outside the parks. We are getting the free DP in Sept, so we will be spending so much time eating and waiting to eat, that I may not take the extra time out to travel to CS (we are staying at AS Movies) for lunch. If you are on the DP and are looking for a good CS dinner, this is a great choice.

We've only eaten at the Pepper Market a couple of times, but our experiences were always good. I especially enjoyed the chicken quesadilla from here. (Actually got it as a take out and ate it by the pool.) I have found all of the CSR staff to be especially friendly and polite.

We stayed at CSR in December and ate at the PM a couple of times for lunch and breakfast. We found the food to be pretty good, however the set up is a little confusing and you do have to wait a while for them to make your food, because it is all made to order. And like pps mentioned if you are ordering at different stations, members of your party end up eating at different times, because one person's food might be ready and getting cold, while the other person is still waiting for his to be prepared. We also thought that the CMs were not as friendly as at some other places. But overall, we liked it and would go back if we were staying at CSR, but we wouldn't make it over there just to eat at PM.
