Not Monty dog...but Poppy, the poodle on this page...
I am sitting here reading his story, bawling my eyes out at work.
I can't have him because he does not get along with small dogs or I would.
He's 10 yrs old and I fear he won't be adopted and he will likely be killed at the pound where he is.
Someone tell me to stop crying...

My Adoption Story: My name is Poppy. I am hoping that there is someone out there with a heart of gold that will want to take me. I am a Poodle X and I am over the age of 10 years and weigh 9 lbs. Your kind soul with have the satisfaction of knowing that you gave a dog a second chance at life. I may be old but I am not feeble. I am very active for my age and yes, I still love to play. I seem to be fairly housebroken but I may need more training on a new schedule. I am quite silly at times and enjoy belly rubs. I am also a great lap warmer and will cuddle up on your lap until you make me get off.I can get quite demanding and will nudge your hand if you stop petting me. I get along great with other small dogs (hasn`t been tested with bigger dogs yet). I am sad that my family never came to get me but I am hopeful and very excited about my new life to come. They love me here and I know you will too. Please look past my age. We can enjoy the rest of my life together.
