I was hoping that maybe someone could help me with getting instructions for my Pal Mickey. Mine was used when I got it and didn't have any included. If anyone would be willing to scan and e-mail them to me I would be very very greatful!!! THANK YOU! If you PM me then I can give you whatever info. you need.

I don't have a working scanner. When I realized how flimsy the instruction booklet was, though, I paraphrased the instructions and typed them into my wordpad, so I can copy them for you here, if that is alright.

To get things started make sure that Pal Mickey has been switched on. Carry Pal Mickey so he can see where he is going.

Pal Mickey will giggle and shake when he has something important to tell you. Just squeeze one of his hands or his tummy within 15 seconds to hear what he has to say. If you want to hear it again just squeeze his tummy or one of his hands within 15 seconds and he will repeat it up to 5 times.

Wherever you are with Pal Mickey, he's always ready with a funny joke or fun fact. When you want Mickey to talk squeeze one of his hands or his tummy. He will repeat the same joke if you squeeze his hand or tummy again within 15 seconds.

When visiting any of the WDW theme parks, Mickey works best when attached to your belt with the clip.

DO NOT immerse Pal Mickey in water. You can clean him with a damp cloth if necessary. I always carry a small plastic bag just in case it rains so that I can cover him.

To conserve battery life when you return home from your WDW trip turn Mickey off. I also remove the batteries until my next trip.

If Pal Mickey stops talking or responding when you squeeze his hands, his batteries need to be replaced.

When visiting WDW attractions, Mickey will usually not speak during the shows.

If you want Pal Mickey to repeat what he said, just squeeze one of his hands or his tummy within 15 seconds

Pal Mickey will not repeat what he says while you are playing one of the games.

HOW TO PLAY A GAME

Squeeze both of Mickey's hands for at least one second and then release them to hear Mickey tell you the game menu.

1. That isn't here game: Squeeze Mickey's left hand
2. Fast friends game: Squeeze Mickey's right hand
3. Mickey Says game: Squeeze his tummy

Mickey will give you instructions on how to play each game.

When you want to stop playing just squeeze and hold BOTH of Mickey's hands for at least 1 second

Thank you VERY much for your help. It was so nice of you to type it out :sunny:

We are getting closer now and so excited!

kessieann--we just got back from 9 days at WDW and we love our Pal Mickey! My DH and I had one and so did our 3.5 year old nephew. Hard to say who loved him more!

I had him "activated" at the CBR gift shop where I bought him, but he should activate automatically when you pass through the turnstiles. We did have a glitch the morning we did our Keys to the Kingdom Tour--we were allowed in prior to rope drop and he did not seem to know he was in MK. I went back to entrance and CMs passed him through again for me and he finally woke up. They told me he can always be reactivated in the gift shops where he is sold.

Make sure to keep him securely fastened to you and keep him on for all rides and attractions--he will surprise you!

Enjoy,

Barbe

Just a note - I read on my airport website that some interactive toys are not allowed as carry-ons. I didn't want to take a chance with Pal Mickey, so I packed him in our checked luggage.

Thanks Tinkerbellmagic for the warning. Anyone else with experience with carrying Pal Mickey on the plane or should I just back him? Mine was shipped home as a gift so this is the 1st time I've travelled with mine.

Thanks for the thoughts on this matter.

as I was just the winning bidder for one on e-bay two nights ago.... (so excited!)... I will probably pack him in the check bags anyhow, but just in case....P:D

I had my Pal Mickey in my carry-on, and had no problems. I did turn him off though from the switch inside, maybe that makes a difference? I am sure the Orlando airport has seen plenty of them go by on the scanner!
