I've been a member of the Dis for several years but I've been away from the boards for awhile. It's become necessary for us to plan to sell our home and cleaning out drawers is a beginning. A couple of years back there was a thread by a woman who collected WDW soaps and shampoos for a children's charity or home. I cannot remember who she was or even if it was this board. I'm hoping someone in the know can help. I have about a hundred bars of soap and shampoo bottles that I've accumulated over the past few years and would like to donate. Help anyone!!!!!

I think any homeless or battered women's shelter would take the samples. The occupational health nurse at work used to collect them for a women's shelter. Can't help with more specific info because I don't work there anymore.

I forget her name, but it was a few years ago on RADP. On Deb Wills' site www.allearsnet.com you might find more information.

I know that when we lived in the DC area, the Baltimore Chapter of NFFC had adopted a visitor house at Johns Hopkins University Hospital and we often brought the toiletries to them.

More than likely there are several specialized large teaching hospitals near you; they will usually have a house for people staying with patients, especially children. They would probably be very happy to have the supply.

Here is the link to the info on Deb Wills' site:

Funny thing . . . I believe this is how I originally found Deb Wills Disney site in the first place, oh so many years ago. :D

And if this lady doesn't want the soaps any more, please send them to Donna (Gotanypins) as she would be able to use them to wash Raul's mouth out with soap. I understand she goes through barrels of the stuff through Costco right now.

Her name is Dottie and she also lives here in wonderful Mass. South Shore I think. The best way to reach her is through the link above. Wonderful woman I met up with her at the Natick mall to unload so soaps and toys a few years ago. I think it may be time again as my box for her is getting quite full.
Take care Brenda
