Can anyone help me figure out how to switch starting parks with a Magic Key?

Hi there! We have a trip planned for January. Now some family members are going as well, but they have different start days. I can't figure out how to switch mine to match theirs. I'm too afraid to cancel for fear that they won't be available when I try to re-book. Does anyone know how to switch that for the Magic Key pass? Thank you so much!
 
I know. I don’t like the “\” after a reservation being the same as the symbol for unavailable days, without knowing any longer if there are dual park reservations still available to cancel and switch starting park.

Exactly! It's so scary.
 

In the app, you can scroll down to "enter the MK portal" and then click on benefits, which will link you to the availability calendar for each type of pass. You will be able to see if there is availability, BUT you won't know if there is enough availability for your entire party until you cancel and rebook. It's a gamble either way.
 
Are you all going on the same days and just want to switch parks? If that is the situation, just cancel one person at a time and book for the other park. Sometimes it will let you book one person at a specific park, but not a party of 4, for example, but it will let you keep booking individual people. This has happened to us. I switched one adult over first, then one kid, then the other kid, then the other adult last, just on case it didn't allow it, there wouldn't be kids booked alone in one park. Worst case, you can split your party and meet up after 1pm.

Me too! I just tested it. Looked at the availability calendar online then logged in to my Magic Keys and checked again and a day in late January wasn't available. Logged back out and it was there again. So frustrating. So if I can randomly lose a day that late in the month, I don't trust that next week will still be available if I cancel and attempt to re-book. 😐

Yeah, it's all on the same day. Just different starting parks. I don't trust the availability calendar, haha. It sometimes changes once I log in to my passes. So I'm afraid to cancel and lose one of my days. 😬

In that case, just meet up with your family after 1pm OR ask them to switch starting parks, which may be easier with day tickets.
