Can anyone explain little boys to me?

Dream & Amy- I'll be sure NOT to rent Scooby Doo now. I have 2 boys, 4 & 6. All that movement, bodily noises even if it is the ketchup bottle, grabbing on to "their" body part, the noise...ARGH!!!!!!

I asked my mom, the mother of 3 sons, she said it's a guy thing and I'll never understand. Their dad's giggling during the breastfeeding movied in Lamaze 6 years ago should have been my first clue........

We mothers of boys who grew up with brothers are lucky indeed.

I had three brothers, and was close to two nephews before I had my son, so I knew exactly what I was in for when I heard, "It's a boy!" :teeth:

Sure I will explain about little boys after you explain little girls/women

WHO DONT COME WITH INSTRUCTIONS YOU KNOW :)

I'm right there with you as a Mom of a 7 yo boy! My guy never stops moving. When he does that's when we know he is sick. He has a little (3 yo) sister who he LOVES to be mean to. He calls her fart brain and poop head and all things like that.

When he burps and I say - What do you say? His answer is - That's a good one?

Never a dull moment...

Jill (who is enjoying the peace and quiet for another half hour or so before the bus brings him home. As soon as he walks in it all begins...)

Hooray!!! I am not alone!! My DS is in motion from time he wakes up until the time he goes to bed, I call him my little energizer bunny.

The bodily sounds are never ending and at times embarassing. We had friends to dinner last weekend and DS (6) let out a humungous burp.....I was embarassed to say the least. The next day my friend commented that she thought he was throwing up. :o

:bounce::wave::bounce:

JESW--Oh the burping thing!!! When my son burps and I say, "what do you say?" he replies, "excuse me...the rest will come up later!" And who taught him that? MY DAD!

I am going to go home and hug my two DDs! Of course, they may eventually marry and I'll end up with sons anyway. :p

Peggy

luvmydogs - guess who taught my two DS's how to make those farting noises under their armpits? MY MOM!!!

I don't think it's just little boys. DD loves Captain Underpants, fart jokes, and thinks belching is hysterical. The only saving grace I have is that she's a little girl so she won't do it unless some one else does it first -- typically her 5 y.o. cousin who is a boy through and through.

She goes non-stop from sun up to sun down as well. That spinning in circles until they fall over...she and her friends do that all the time. They especially love staggering around until they fall over.

I think it's the age. At least it seems to be for girls...

tiggerlover, your friend confused the burp noise and the throw up noise?? Geez she definately must not have boys...those are two very distinct sounds! :p

Amy...I want to meet your MOM!!!:p

luvmydogs..."excuse me...the rest will come up later!" BWAHAHAHA!!! Anybody else think Amy's Mom and luvmydog's Dad need to meet??? :p

Aaaack Dream! My father the no-nonsense ex-Marine Corps drill instructor-"I don't take nonsense from anyone"-high school teacher! And this is what he teaches my son! Guess he can cut loose with his grandson though! He certainly didn't with me!:D

I have a 6 yo ds and I grew up with 2 older brothers. I've always said and always will say BOYS ARE WEIRD. I'll never figure them out. However, my 9 yo dd thinks my brothers' and her brother's noises are hysterical though.

You mean my darling hubby speaking in burpese isn't really a language? LOL

Thankfully, we have two girls that don't/haven't gotten in to this yet!

Read your post....

Still trying to figure out what is confusing to you???

He's 7. 'nuff said

(from the dad of a 7 YO DS with a 10 YO DD)

And, here I was thinking my son and nephew were the only ones getting hysterical over Scooby Doo! (of course their sisters got hysterical too.:) )
