I heard from a couple of people that inferno went on sale today at the Emporium for about 15 minutes, EXTREMELY cheap. Is this true?!

I don't...that's why I was asking. I didn't think it was too outside the realm of possibility, though. Things have been released accidentally before, and there was the extremely short minnie hat release, too, so I did wonder!

Yes, that is true about the minnie hat release. But please note with that rumor, we (DIS VMK'rs) required pictures as proof. So I would say, no pictures not true.

Are you wondering about the first time Minnie ears went on sale? Then yes, they were released for sale early, as quite a few players were walking around wearing it, and the message boards were flooded with messages about it. I believe there were even a few screen shots.

But, it was taken away for a few days (or perhaps a week?) before being officially for sale. With the case of this rumor, I have a different theory...

There's no way to prove that inferno was ever accidentally released because:

1. There were already infernos in the game for over two years.
2. People were starting to redeem the Disney Movie Rewards and get their full use infernos (without the bug).

My guess is that because of Point #2, players assumed that because they saw a LOT of new Infernos in the game, Inferno was released in the Emporium for 15 minutes and spread the rumor as fact. It makes no sense for it to be true without anyone taking a screen shot of it.

I find it frustrating to see all the rumors flying around are thought to be true.
