Can anyone compare Florida and Paris rides?

Okay, so I am a chicken and I am trying to figure out which rides I can ride at DLP..I can handle Big Thunder in Florida and the Matterhorn in California. That is my limit!! No to Space Mountain, no to Star Tours, no to Tower of Terror.

Can anyone tell me if DLP's Big Thunder is scarier than Florida's version?

What about other "thrill rides"? Anyone have any insight or recommendations for a chicken like me?

You'll be fine on BTM. We were worried the WDW was going to be slow compared to the DLRP one as the WDW is so much older. But we live both and there's no difference in speed etc really.

You'll be fine on PotC.

I'd probably say avoid all other thrill rides as BTM is the mildest of the bunch.

I think that the BTMRR are much similar from an adrenaline viewpoint, however the french version is the best in the world hands down. There is only one little thing that can scare you a bit more: the ride is in the center of a lake, while the boarding station is on the boardwalk: at the beginning and at the end of the ride the train will go in the dark under the lake for a few seconds (no more that 5, I think).
Can this scare you?

Avoid Space mountains, they are much more intense. And of course avoid Rock and Roller Coaster.
Also Indiana Jones is a coaster and it has a loop, so avoid it.
You can do Armageddon (but it's not brilliant, if you don't have time you can skip it).
Avoid the RC Racer in Toy Story Playland. Take a look at the parachutes, it's not very intense.

You probably won't want to ride Crush's Coaster either.

I love DLP's BTM being on an island, it's the longest of the BTM rides too. :thumbsup2

Thank you for the responses. I feel better hearing this. I will do BTM. But I plan to skip the other "thrill" rides. I plan to take a look at the parachute ride and depending on the drop speed that might be okay too.

I am not bothered by heights or the dark...I am mostly bothered by sudden drops.

I'm sure you'll be fine with the parachute drop, it's very gentle.

Slinky coaster and Casey Junior are also very gentle:thumbsup2

I'm a coaster chicken too but was fine on BTM after a couple of goes. Why do you rule out Star Tours though? This isn't a proper coaster and while it was thrilling it wasn't as scary as BTM. Definitely worth a go!

Star Tours is a simulator ride, so you actually don't move very much at all (the scenery in front of you makes it feel like you do though). I'm a coaster chicken too, BTM and POTC are my favourites at DLP, followed by Parachute Drop. I did feel a little disorientated when we were coming out of the Star Tours simulator, but it was a momentary feeling and it passed very quickly.
