Can anyone clear up confusion with Beach Club buses?

We stayed at the BC two summers ago and the transportation was snail like! We were expecting "deluxe" service and that is not what we received. :confused3 Fortunately, Epcot is our favorite park and the luxury of walking in was a big perk, but we got very frustrated with the waits and then the endless stops for the other resorts. It seemed a lot of people gave up and used their cars as they walked past us waiting at the bus stops. We had much better transportation at PO and POFQ. This summer we'll get to give Pop a try.:)

Even midday in slow times, the buses I've had from the MK are Y&BC only. Our last three stays have been in Sept/early Oct, Jan, and mid May. The bus stop is marked that way too.:confused3

I think I'd walk to DTD before taking a bus there after reading some reports.:lmao: Maybe an exaggeration but we do always drive there as it sounds like horrid bus times.

You are so right about those DTD buses...I could be getting social security by the time they arrive. And it's just as bad, if not worse, returning from DTD.

You're absolutely right about the MK bus stop being for just YC/BC. But I have been at both the S/D and BW and had to stop at YC/BC before heading to MK or AK...it was a huge time drain. Perhaps it's just the arriving buses that will share....I don't think I've ever ridden the bus to BW mid-day and had to stop at YC/BC. But, I have been at BC mid-day and the bus did stop at BW before heading to MK. Wow, that's about as clear as mud!!! Hope it made some kind of sense.

The answer is all of the above. At times they can stop at all the stops.

We just returned from our weeks stay at YC.....this time Blizzard Beach / AK we shared - pick up at YC, then to BC and then Boardwalk on the way back we stopped at Swan, Dolphin and then YC. For MK we only shared with BC, but YC was first to be picked up and first to be dropped off, this really made a difference as BC was standing room only many times going to the parks.

I agree with that. We returned from BC 2 weeks ago and though I never figured out the pattern of sharing or not sharing we never waited very long for a bus. The only exception was DTD. I would still allow 1 hour for ADR's.

:thumbsup2

As I stated somewhere else, from 6/25 to 7/6, everytime we rode a bus at YC it was a YC/BC bus only! We never shared with Swan, Dolphin, or BWI!:thumbsup2

we just got back on Friday night and it depended on the day and where you were going on which resorts shared.

We often had seats leaving the BC, on the way back we stood about 1/2 the time.

It was fine EXCEPT for the 1.5 hour trip YES I KID YOU NOT to AK then we had to go to AKL for our adr's ...... we ended up calling Boma to tell them we were stuck on a bus and we had been going for 1 hour and 45 minutes by then...our bus driver stopped for all green and red lights. We did complain at the time and actually another bus driver told us dispatch was right in the building at AK so dh went and said his piece and that the bus driver should not be driving.

It was our only problem bus ride. It actually took her 10 minutes to program the bus display and she stopped to do it at the yield sign on the way in to AK, thank goodnes for the next driver going from AK to AKL who called in the problem as he was leaving with a filled beyond capacity bus to AKL.

That is clear and I suppose it even makes sense as there are probably more guests leaving MK midday than heading there from the WDW resorts.:confused3

I guess we have all really cleared up the confusion for the OP.:rotfl: :rotfl:

Based on all I'm reading I think they probably base the route on crowd size, where they are going and how many drivers they have on staff because it seems the route is different at times.

Well I'll be there very soon so I'll report on the bus route after my return. As I indicated in an earlier post, last August it was BW, Swan and Dolphin. I'm sure that was the route because it was crowded and by the time we reached the Dolphin it was standing room only so there was no way we could go to YC or BC.:scared:
