I know timing of buses can vary...but trying to find out "who" the beach club shares buses with...I have heard

only YC
YC, BWI
YC, BWI, Swan and Dolphin

Can anyone clarify? We will be arriving on Sat. July 21st and just trying to get a better idea especially with timing for some dining reservations at Chef Mickeys and Wilderness Lodge..thanks

When I stayed at the Boardwalk, we shared it with the Beach Club, YC, and Swant and Dolphin. This is the way you will find it most of the time. We were at busy spring break time and I don't recall getting my own bus. Sometimes, depending on crowds they will split the routes. But most of the time you will share it with the other resorts. It isn't as bad as it seems. Even when I stayed at the Contemporary, we shared a bus with Poly and Wilderness. I remember when each resort had it's own bus. I wish they would go back to that. Remember, you can walk to Epcot and take the boat to MGM. So that solves some of the bus issues. We used to cut through Epcot and take the Monorail to MK. But the bus really isn't too bad.

When we were at the Beach Club in October, we shared with all of the other Boardwalk area resorts. It was not fast service by any means.

For our ADRs we left at least an hour before we need to be there. You figure you have to wait for a bus, and run thru a few more stops, you need about an hour to be on time. But if you find yourself in a bind you can get a taxi for about $20.

Hi Janet -

It's Lori from the Liberty cruise. I'm guessing it's you based on the same user name. Mine is different here. Anyway, since you'll be there in the summer, you're probably going to be sharing with the YC. At busy times, usually it's BC and YC for one bus and BW and S/D for another one. Allow at least 30 minutest to make it to Chef Mickeys from the bus stop, as it's a quick walk from the buses over to the CR, just hang a right off the buses and use the walkway over, it's about a 3 min walk. For the WL, allow at least 45 min, as you have to transfer to the ferry and sometimes there is a wait for that.

when we were there last october, YC/BC were the only stops I had going to/from MK, didn't seem to matter when we went. Going to/from AK, on the other hand, was really long...stopped at BW/Swan/Dolphin/Blizzard Beach. yowza

We've always had a YC, BC, BWI, Swan and Dolphin share. We just tend to get off at the first stop and walk from there, but, honestly, the bus service at the deluxes leaves something to be desired. When we did our timing of buses arriving at various theme parks (we're kind of nerds), we waited for a full hour to see how many buses would arrive for each stop. All of the deluxes got 3 buses in an hour, except for the GF, which got only 2. The moderates got 4 buses/hr, and the values got 4-5 buses/hr. Fort Wilderness blew away the competition with an insane 6 buses/hr!

Cheers!

During my stay last August when staying at the Swan we didn't share the bus with YC or BC. Previous years before that we did but I think it's a very busy time of year and they finally realized it's impossible. By the time the Swan bus got to the Dolphin people were already standing and then we headed to YC and BC and what a nightmare:scared1:

Last year it was BW, Swan and then Dolphin. I am hoping when we get there in a few weeks it will be the same but we'll see.

When we were there from May 22nd to the 26th we only shared with the YC coming and going from MK. We saw other buses that said "BWI/Swan/Dolphin". Also, if I recall correctly, the AK bus also only shared with the YC. We always walked into Epcot (since there is no bus there) and we would have taken the boat to MGM if we had gone to that park, but we did not.

We just got back on Thursday

The buses that share are....

Swan/Dolphin,Yacht, beach,boardwalk

With all of them sharing how was it?

I hope that changes next month. As I said in my previous post, in the past all of them sharing the one bus was a nightmare:eek:

When we stayed at the Dolphin it was: Swan, Dolphin, Yacht, Beach then BWI. Most times for the MK bus it was standing room only when it got to the Beach Club and then had to stop at the BWI. I have to agree that for the deluxes it leaves much to be desired for the bus transportation at certain times of the year.

That is how it was 2 years ago when we stayed at the Swan and as I said, what a nightmare. That is why when we were there last August and it was BW, Swan and then Dolphin I was happy because I thought they realized it was just too heavy of a route. I guess it's just the time of year but I will see in a few weeks.

You all are making me nervous about the transportation to the parks... eeek... we are planning on staying at BC next may.... I have heard that walking through Epcot and getting on the Monorail is a nice way to get to MK... but can you do that before the parks open???

We stay at the Swan and it's much easier to get to MK by bus. If you walk to Epcot from BC you will be at the international gateway and they are going to hold you there until the park opens and the monorail is at the front of the park so by the time you walk thru Epcot and get on the monorail to MK you would have been there by bus already. Of course this is my opinion but I just think it will take you longer.

I think the epcot resorts have the worst bus system.....

I mean POP blows those deluxes away.....
Why should people who spend more than 300 bucks for a standard
room....
SHARE A BUS WITH SO MANY OTHERS:scared1:

I'll be staying there in Aug....I'll be in the pool....
or going to epcot and mgm....

Not doing the packed like a sardine in Aug....

I only picked the BCV cause it will be so hot and I want
to try the pool....

I would imagine most people that stay at those resorts....
stay in the mgm, epcot area.....
Or they are spending way too much time on the bus....

We tend to go in slower times and in the past couple of years the buses to/from MK have been Y&BC only. This changed perhaps two years ago now from a shared bus with all the Epcot resorts.

I've taken the bus back from the AK and we stopped at S/D before the Y & BC.

The BW always shares a bus with the S/D. YC/BC have their own bus for busy times of day..park opening, park closing. But, midday, you may find that the bus goes to S/D, YC/BC then to BW or the reverse. And for the most part, if the bus is going to DTD and waterparks, all the resorts are on the same bus.
Yes, the Epcot resorts do have somewhat slower bus service that a lot of the other resorts. But, since you can walk to two of the four main parks, it's not too bad!! Or you can take a boat. I've never had an issue with the buses at any time when staying at the S/D, BC and BW. Just plan on a bit longer to get to where you want to be.

Even midday in slow times, the buses I've had from the MK are Y&BC only. Our last three stays have been in Sept/early Oct, Jan, and mid May. The bus stop is marked that way too.:confused3

I think I'd walk to DTD before taking a bus there after reading some reports.:lmao: Maybe an exaggeration but we do always drive there as it sounds like horrid bus times.

I think the bus services has improved greatly on the EPCOT Resorts loop over a few years ago. We've been staying at BW for years, and were at BC last summer.

A few years ago we had a lot of trouble with buses getting full before BW and passing thru full or skipping BW entirely... but I haven't seen that or seen reports of it happening here lately... anyone see that?

Otherwise the route is pretty quick and BW guests can save time getting off or get a good seat by walking to/from the Swan if you like.

During our stay at the Swan last August I have to say I had no problems with the bus service. YC/BC had their own so it was only the BW, Swan and Dolphin.

The only bus that is the pain is for the one going Downtown but I think that holds true with whatever resort your at.

I love the Epcot resorts because Epcot is my favorite park and we're there almost every day, even for a quick bite to eat or walk, so to be able to just walk over I love it. :woohoo:
