OK, this may turn out to be a long story and I don't want to confuse anyone, so I will type slow.
I am currently renting my points to a family the week of Oct.2-9th. She originally wanted BCV, but that had no availability, so she agreed on BWV, and asked to be wait listed for BCV. After months of waiting, it occured to me that if she was willing to move, if we waited one night at a time, she would at least have a chance at spend one or two nights at BCV. That was all she wanted. She just wants to experience SAB. So she would be thrilled with even just one night! I called and cancelled the original wait list, and waited her for Oct 8th. It took just 5 days, but it came in! YAY. So, when I saw it on the DVC member site under reservations, I called and waited her for the 7th. That night came in 2 days later. Once I saw that was in, called for the 6th. Saturday, the 6th came in, I called to wait for the 5th, and I think within an hour I had the 5th. WOOHOO. I e-mailed the woman, all excited for her, and she is TRULY excited. At this pace, she could have the whole week at the BC in no time. Well, she e-mailed me and told me she was fine with how things were. She will spend the 2nd-5th at the Boardwalk, and the 5th-9th at the BC, and couldn't be happier. She also realized that by having two seperate reservations, she can get the DDP for just part of the week, and not the entire week. So, she was going to get back to me on which reservation to add it to.
This all happened Saturday evening(her e-mail). I planned on calling Sunday to add the 4th to the wait list, but since reading her e-mail, I was all set. I didn't call. She had her reservations the way she wanted them.
Last night, I was poking around on the DVC member site, and happened to check out my reservations....she is booked at the BC for the 4th!!!! So now, she has Oct.2nd-4th at the Boardwalk and the 4th-9th at the Beachclub. HOW??? I am not complaining, I think this is GREAT customer service. I am just completely stunned that this happened. Unless I called while I was sleepwalking and don't recall, I did not ever call and wait for the 4th.
Now, the only thing I can think of is, I mentioned to one of the CM's during one of the times I was calling to request one of the nights, that I was working backwards trying to get the entire week. Maybe he noted it, that when one night comes in go ahead and wait for the next night? But can that be official?
This is mind blowing. How in the world did I get a night I wasn't waiting for? Wow, DVC CM's are the bestest! Now I just have to hear back form her to see if she wants to keep it or try to get back at the boardwalk for the 4th. I am sure she will keep it.
