I'm probably more interested in the counter service places for this option, but I'm just not sure if you can do this or not. Are you allowed to order a child's meal as an adult?

What about table service places? Does it depend which one? I could understand not allowing it at buffet places, but what about all the other places?

Yes at counter service. I would be too embarassed at a TS-- but that's just me.

As long as you aren't on the dining plan, it's no problem. You will pay as an adult at the buffets, but can certainly eat off the kids section on the buffet.

Some people don't like a lot of food and some like my BIL are very picky eaters. He ordered kids chicken strip meals pretty much every restaurant we went to at Disney :rolleyes1

Hi - my mom is the same, she doesn't like big heavy meals - I think she will probably just order starters/salads in some restaurants - I assume that will be ok, as long as we still leave the correct tip?? (we are paying OOP):confused3 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 (we are

with no problem. It was hot and he tends to eat lighter when its warm out. There were several restaurants where he ordered an appetizer or soup and a salad. There was not problem and we didn't feel the need to tip more. We tipped on the price of the meals we ordered.

We both definitely ordered kids meals at some CS because again it was hot and our appetites were not as big, plus I got addicted to the cookie ice cream sandwiches that they sell at the ice cream carts and had to have one everyday after lunch.

I order from the kids menu at Rose & Crown & was on the Disney dining plan. Why before you flame me.:) I order the adult item & couldn't finish it no matter how hard I tried. I am a light eater but I like what I order. Plus it was a very hot & humid day. Our server seeing that I didn't finish my meal said No dessert for you :lmao: But he told me in a very nice way next time order from the kids menu. It was their suggestion & it is the only place I tried it at. I did give him an extra tip the next time we ate there & got him. Had no problems ordering from kids menu every time we eat at Rose & Crown. Now I didn't look at bill so he could have charge my dining plan an adult TS but it wouldn't have bother me in any way. I don't like wasting food but need more than just an appt. ;)

I think it depends on the resturant & if they want to let you can't hurt to ask as all they can do is say no. Also after that when I made my ADR for my next trip I was talking to the CM & he recommended it also. I asked if it was breaking the rules & he said it depends on resturant. But he did say it saved Disney money :lmao: Of course he could have been wrong ;) But I know at Rose & Crown I was allowed to do this. MHO
