Can an adult eat off the children's buffet?

My husband is an adventurous eater, and I am very picky. I don't want him to be held back on enjoying the variety of food that Disney offers, so I'm willing to make some ressies at some of the "exotic" buffets. I've seen pictures of some of them, (maybe Boma or Tusker House?), where they offer chicken strips and mac and cheese. Could I, as an adult, eat that, while my husband enjoys the curry and other spicy food? We'll be using the Deluxe Dining Plan, so not paying OOP. There's going to be restaurants I'm going to want to go to for the atmosphere, especially at AK, but much of the food does not appeal to me. I know, it sounds like wasted money, but I'll be enjoying the atmosphere, where my husband will be enjoying the food. But I don't want to go hungry, so can I have chicken tenders and mac and cheese like the kids?

There is no such thing as a "kids buffet" or even an "adult buffet" at Disney. They have buffets with one section lower to the floor which has on it items that kids tend to enjoy (such as pizza, hot dogs, chicken strips, mac & cheese, etc.). Any person at the buffet (including children less than age three who are free) can get anything from any part of the buffet.

You can take whatever you want from the buffet.

As others have stated, the entire buffet is open to you, but don't rule out trying some of the "exotic" dishes. I'm not a very adveturous eater either, yet I found many dishes at Boma that I tried and found to be wonderful!

Yup, I agree. We had 3 picky eaters with us on our last trip and none of them wanted to even eat at Tusker House. We *forced* them to go with us, telling them there was kiddy food there. HOWEVER, all of them tried a few of the unusual items on the buffet and ALL of them came away loving their new discoveries! LOL

Have fun on your trip!

You can take and eat anything you want, but you will pay adult prices....no such thing as an adult paying child's price and eating very little or certain items,,,,

I always eat from the "kids" part of the buffet at Hollywood and Vine :p Anyway, if you go to a la carte restaurants and you don't like any adult items, you can always ask for something on the kids menu. We did that all the time when I worked at Akershus in Epcot, kids got to order from the adult side and got it in kids size, and adults ordered from the kids menu and got it in adult size, no problem :)
