Im a little confused as never been to Disneyland before but have been to WDW in what rides Adults can and can't ride.

I have found on the disney site that says for It's a small ride for pre schoolers, and kids.

Same for the peter pan flight, pinocchio's daring journey and King Arthur's Carrousel. Also some say Teen.

Can anyone tell me if adults can ride these rides or do you have to have children to ride these rides?

I was looking forward to the peter pan flight :) oh all right I was looking forward to all those rides especially the carrousel.

Is there anything to say rides are for children only that I should look out for? apart from the rides being to small for me to get in.

I can't think of any ride at Disneyland that is 'kids' only. In fact I don't believe children under 7 are allowed to ride any rides alone.

What you are seeing is what age Disney believes the rides are targeted for.

When it comes to the Fantasyland rides most are just as popular for the adults as they are for children.

That's really more an age recommendation for youngsters. Your teen may get boredn Small World or worse than that. ;)

One of Walt Disney's reason for building Disneyland is he would take his kids to the fair/amusements and would not be able to ride with them. He wanted to make a place where the entire family could participate together. This is one of the things that makes Disney so great, though many don't even realize it.

I've never been to DL, but there is not a single ride at WDW that you can't ride with your kids, and I do believe that DL/DCA is no different. Those that came after Walt have stuck with that basic rule.

I think the only things that might be kids-only are a couple of things (zip line, perhaps the rock wall?) in the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail. If those weren't on your must-do list, you're good! :thumbsup2

I think the only thing holding someone back would be height requirements or if someone has medical issues. Every ride except for the ones with height or pregnancy restrictions is designed for people of all ages. I go on an adults only trip to DL every year and I cant say there is one ride in either park that we adults havent tried once. This includes the kiddie rides.

Like a poster above said, Walt built the park so the family can have fun together, and I find that even if there is a big scary drop or a ride that is fast, it is designed for the whole family including smaller children to enjoy. You will find kids going on Screaming, TOT, Splash Mountain, and having a blast. But then you will see plenty of adult only boats floating down the canals of Story Book land or in IASW boats. Same goes with all rides in Fantasyland like Dumbo, Peter Pan, Pinocchio etc.

So what I believe you are reading has to do with what age groups would enjoy the attraction more, not who can ride it.

Rest assured...you can ride all of the kiddie rides! I ride the Fantasyland rides with or without my DD5! :thumbsup2 And..my favorite ride is Peter Pan..so magical. You will see lots of adults riding the kiddie rides there. As mentioned above, the website is describing the target group. Have a great trip! :goodvibes

I have wondered about the little rides in It's a Bugs Life at DCA. Are some of these only for kids?

HAHA nope! My friend and I rode all those rides in November and the 5 year old child in each of us came out to play. We squealed and chased each other around and laughed at all the cute little details or commentary. I very much loved Heimlich's chew chew train. It was basically like a glorified " Very hungry caterpillar" ride.

Fantasyland is always our FIRST stop!! Per Mommy's request! Peter Pan then Pinochio and Snow White then all the way around the "land"! Hubby and I went on out 10 year anniversary in 2010, there were no kids with us and we still started over there. EVEN though my beloved Peter Pan was down for a refurb! I don't think there is any such thing as a kiddie ride in DL. :good vibes ENJOY!!

Adults can and SHOULD ride all of the Fantasyland rides! The only thing I would probably skip as an adult travelling without kids is the coaster back in Mickey's Toon Town. The line is long and slow moving and the ride is too short.
And even though the rides in Bug's Land in CA are very kiddie oriented, I would certainly walk back there to see the themeing, probably ride the spinning lady bugs, and grab a cherry slushy.

I've been without the girls a few times and we've ridden every ride.....go and enjoy!!

In fact, Peter Pan and Heimlich's Chew Chew Train are 2 of my favorites, I always want to ride Heimlich.......LOL

I agree, I love bugs land! And Fantasyland! I think those are pretty much the POINT of Disneyland!! To be a kid again :) Peter Pan is my 60 year old mother's favorite ride!

My DW and I don't have kids and Peter Pan is one of our favorite rides at WDW. Hoping the one at DL is the same. You have to ride it!

mmm, candycorn!

OP, they are just helping people out in figuring who might want to ride and who is tall enough. It's not a restriction, just assistance.

Though the "bumper cars" in bug's land might not be all that grown-person friendly, LOL. I'm SO glad DS can ride those alone now!!!!!

I have been to Disneyland twice, this will be my third time coming up...I ride all the rides...love it. I guess I am a child at heart, only 70 years old..almost.
Love going there. Having fun is what it is all about.
