Can a room selection be modified just before arrival?

Hi
I have CL reservation in AKL but if the Usual services will not be available then I would prefer to change them to another room..
Can I do it before arrival? (Say 8days), or Is room changing considered as a cancellation (therefore holding points)?

Any points from the original not used for the new would typically be placed in holding. If you are dealing with AKV Club you might be able to get help via MS.

Yes you can modify the reservation up to 24 hrs before arrival.

But if the revised booking costs less, the excess points do go into holding.
