Can a member discount be applied to a previously booked cash reservation?

I booked a 6 night cash reservation at HHI prior to purchasing into DVC. My contract was approved in ROFR-once I receive my membership information-would any discounts apply to my cash reservation? Any advice? The reservation is only a few weeks away and there is not full availability right now to switch over and use points so I am trying to find my best option.

Probably not. It is different inventory.

The only way to know is call Member Services. Don't know if this would be allowed. We've used the cash Member's discount in the past and some dates it was available and some dates it wasn't. Good luck!

The DVC discount does not apply to rooms booked via Disney. You have to book through MS,

So, it cant be used toward your current reservation. However, it’s possible that MS will show availability for the same dates for cash...which is different than points..and book you a new one.

They currently have a 40% off promo going for cash stays via MS at SSR For some fall dates but it mentions other resorts might be available.

However, you won’t know until you re given your member number which from closing right it’s taking around 4 to 5 weeks.

Only bookings down through MS can get MS discount. You could possibly have MS book a room now if there is DVC availability and cancel the cash reservation, but before doing so check the rules for refunds for cash reservations through Disney to assure you can get a refund if you cancel.
